At Learnlight, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is more than just a program – it’s the foundation of our operations. Central to our CSR commitments is nurturing a sustainable mindset, to make a positive and lasting impact on our planet.
It is therefore with great pride that we announce the exciting milestone of achieving our 2023 Gold EcoVadis Medal for the second consecutive year. Last year, we were in the top 5 percent of businesses rated by EcoVadis. This year we are in the top 3 percent of businesses. A testament to our ongoing sustainability efforts and progress.
How EcoVadis’ Rating System Works
EcoVadis is a sustainability rating tool that assesses businesses on their social, ethical and environmental impact. With 21 Corporate Social Responsibility criteria, it provides great insight into the quality of a business’ management cycle on various CSR-related topics.
EcoVadis’ assessment is divided into four categories: Environment, Labor and Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement. The results are provided in a scoring card, giving a clear overview of the strengths and areas of improvement of any business.
The EcoVadis sustainability recognition levels are based on the percentile rank of a company’s EcoVadis score. They are reviewed periodically. The Gold medal Learnlight received both years is awarded to the top 5% of businesses (those with an overall score between 70 and 77).
This year Learnlight ranked “advanced” in the Environment Labour and Human Rights categories, and “outstanding” in the Ethics categories. Our business policies in these areas particularly stood out to EcoVadis. Many good practices were also highlighted in the assessment report. In no particular order these included: our recycling practices, our flexible working practices, our internal skills development offers, and our employee awareness programs for information security and the environment.
